Due to the impact of inclement weather, as well as the importance to get all of the Little League Baseball® World Series participants to Bowman Field for the MLB Little League Classic, the Little League® International Tournament Committee has made the decision to suspend play of Game 20 on Sunday, August 18.
The decision to suspend play of Game 20 also allows both starting pitchers to remain eligible for tomorrow’s game based on their pitch count thresholds at the time of suspension.
In accordance with Little League International Tournament rules regarding resumption of a suspended tournament game, the game will resume action on Monday, August 19, at 10 a.m. at Volunteer Stadium from the point it was halted with the Caribbean Region leading the Australia Region, 3-0, in the top of the second inning with a runner on first, two outs, and an 0-2 count on Will Bennett.
