Rowan Little League, from Salisbury, North Carolina, captured the 2019 Little League Softball® World Series Championship by defeating Eastbank Little League, from River Ridge, Louisiana, 4-1.
The Southeast Region fired up the offense in the first inning. Riley Haggas drove in two when she doubled.
Campbell Schaen pitched the Southeast Region to victory. She lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out nine.
Hailey Peterson took the loss for the Southwest Region. She allowed three hits and three runs, walking zero.
Lauren Vanderpool, Riley, and Campbell each managed one hit to lead the Southeast Region.
The Southwest Region racked up seven hits in the game. Hailey and Kayla Giardina all collected multiple hits for the Southwest Region.
