    Central East Maui (Hi.) Little League, the West Region Champions defeated Elmora (N.J.) Little League, 6-0, on Monday afternoon, one day after having the game suspended by inclement weather in the fifth inning.

    Hawaii struck early, when Jaren Pascual hit a solo home run in the first inning. The West Region Champs continued to tally runs, scoring two in the second inning and three more in the third, while holding New Jersey scoreless. Hawaii was strong at the plate, with five hits.

    West pitchers Logan Kuloloia and Issac Imamura combined to throw the shutout that led them to the win. Together, they struck out seven, walked three, and allowed four hits. Their defense behind them was solid, letting up no errors.

    LLBWS Tournament

    Mid-Atlantic started J.R. Rosado on the mound, and he threw two-plus innings before giving way to Sal Garcia, then L.J. Aponte. Together, the three pitchers struck out six and walked two.

    Central East Maui (Hi.) Little League will continue  Little League Baseball World Series run on Wednesday, August 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Lamade Stadium against Southeast. Mid-Atlantic will play again on Tuesday, August 20 at 7:30 pm in Lamade Stadium against New England.
