      Bowling Green East (Ky.) Little League has won their first game in the Little League Baseball® World Series, defeating Cronulla Little League (Australia) 4-1.

      Kentucky jumped out to an early lead, scoring three runs in the top of the second inning. Australia answered by scoring one during the third, but Kentucky secured its victory with a final run during the sixth inning. Kentucky had six hits throughout the course of the game, leading them to their win.

      LLBWS Tournament

      Chaze Huff pitched a complete game for Great Lakes. He was strong on the mound, striking out six and walking only two. His defense behind him was solid, with only one error.

      Zac Curtis started on the mound for Australia, pitching four innings. In the fifth inning, Lachlan Vella came in for relief. Together, the pitchers struck out five and walked four.
