All local Little League® programs that choose to enroll in the AIG group insurance programs will no longer receive a mailed copy of their Certificate of Insurance. Little League International has made it easier for local leagues to receive proof of insurance by placing a PDF version of all Insurance Certificates on their league’s Data Center account under the “Manage Insurance” tab.
Once a league completes its Charter and Insurance Enrollment application, pays its insurance premiums in full, and Little League International reviews the certificates for accuracy and proper coverage, the PDF version will be uploaded to the Little League Data Center. Leagues are strongly encouraged to log-on to the Data Center and print for its records and/or to provide to its Additional Insured entities (property owners that require proof of coverage) each season.
If a league needs to add more Additional Insureds after the initial Certificate of Insurance has been issued, a new certificate will be uploaded for league use once the approval and premium payment process is completed.
Those leagues that received a mailed Certificate of Insurance for the 2018 season prior to this change, are invited to obtain additional copies through its Data Center account under: Manage Insurance.
Completion of the Little League charter application and AIG insurance enrollment process, as well as payment in full for all insurance premiums prior to the end of each calendar year, ensures that a league, or district, does not have a break in insurance coverage.
It is important to note that without any insurance coverage in effect, a league, or district, and its officials, including Managers and Coaches, will not be covered for any eligible Little League-related activities. Liability (General Liability, Directors and Officers, Cyber), Crime, and Accident Insurance will not be in force for the current season until the league or district has chartered and paid its premiums in full.
