Little League® International mourns the passing of Glendal “Glen” Seagraves, Jr., former Ohio District 11 Administrator. He was 81.
Mr. Seagraves, a native of Ashville, Ohio, was a resident of South Point, Ohio, at the time of his passing. During his service to the Little League program, Mr. Seagraves volunteered 35 years as a member of the South Point Little League, held the position of Ohio Little League State Director for many years, and was a field representative on Little League International Board of Directors in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for three years.
A military veteran, Mr. Seagraves served in the United States Marine Corp (1962-66) during the Vietnam War. Following his tour of duty, he was employed by the Ironton (Ohio) Fire Department until retirement (1966-1993) and served 16 years on the South Point School Board.
Mr. Seagraves is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gail; daughter, Robyn; son, Greg; sisters, Anna Jean, Betty Lou, and Vickie; brother, Leroy; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Chelsie, Amanda, Miranda, Candice, Meagan, and Nichole; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Glen, Sr. and Cora; sisters, Wanda and Faye; brother, Dallas; and grandson, David (Scottie).
