Here are 6 ways that you can get involved with the Little League Challenger Division®.
1. Start a Challenger Division in your community
Contact your local Little League program and offer to start a Challenger Division. Little League can provide you all the tools and support necessary to start and operate a successful program. For more information, contact us at [email protected].
2. Volunteer in an existing Challenger Division
Make a difference in the lives of children in your community by volunteering in your local Challenger Division. Many volunteer opportunities exist including volunteering as a buddy for a Challenger player, offering support in new player recruitment, offering administrative support, offering fundraising support and much more! Contact your local Challenger Division to find out what opportunities are available. To find the Challenger Division nearest you, contact us at [email protected].
3. Support a Challenger Division
Like all Divisions of the Little League program, the Challenger Division is reliant on fundraising and volunteer support. Consider making a financial donation to your local program, or donate new or gently used equipment to your local program to help make the experience better for all Challenger participants.
4. Refer a participant
Do you know a child that could benefit from participation in the Challenger Division? Help spread the word and refer families of children with developmental and/or physical challenges to a local Challenger Division. The experience of participation is a life changing experience!
5. Spread the word
Tell others in your community about your local Challenger Division and ways that everyone can get involved. Involvement in the Challenger Division not only changes the lives of the participants, but is an unforgettable experience for the volunteers as well!
6. Attend a game
Attend a Challenger game and cheer on the participants. To watch a Challenger Division game is to watch Little League played in its purest form, young athletes playing the game for the love of the game. Seeing a game in person is an unforgettable experience that will make a lasting impression. To find a league near you offering Challenger, visit the League Finder or email us at [email protected].
