World of Little League® Museum Earns Three ISHY Awards in 2024

2024 ISHY Awards

For the seventh year in a row, the World of Little League® Museum has earned at least one ISHY Award for its unique content, bringing home three awards as part of this year’s honors, presented by the International Sports Heritage Association (ISHA).

“Storytelling around our history is such an important piece of bringing our museum to life, and we are honored to be able to once again be recognized by our peers with this honor,” said Adam Thompson, World of Little League Museum Director. “We hope these exhibits and video help share the story of our program in households around the world and inspire our guests who experience them in person to bring the values of Little League back home with them.”

This year’s awards were presented in the following categories:

Marketing Material – Audio/Video

Little League® #GWG50 Kickoff Video

In August 2023, Little League announced the launch of its Girls with Game 50 Celebration and Female Inclusion Initiative with an exciting video, paying tribute to the past 50 years while setting the foundation for the future. Since then, Little League has continued its celebration all year long and has set the stage to continue its Girls with Game initiative for years to come. Tom Seaver Little League Legacy Exhibit

The Tom Seaver Little League Legacy Exhibit

In 1988, Little League selected 12-time MLB All-Star Tom Seaver as the first inductee into the Little League Hall of Excellence, the greatest honor Little League can bestow. Now, more than 35 years later, Little League continues to honor the charter member with a new legacy exhibit. Like other exhibits in the museum, the new exhibit also has an interactive feature as guests are able to operate a touch screen mounted onto the exhibit to learn more about notable athletes from all professional sports, including Patrick Mahomes, NFL quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Sydney Leroux, soccer player with Angel City FC and Olympic Gold Medalist for the U.S. Women’s National Team.

This is the seventh year in a row that the World of Little League Museum took home the honor:

The ISHY Awards program was established to provide recognition for excellence in publications and exhibitions by all member sports museums, halls of fame, or sports heritage organizations, based upon a competition evaluated by a panel of ISHA Officers and organizational members. We split each category into three depending on their organizational budget for Small Organizations, Mid-Size Organizations, and Large Organizations.

The International Sports Heritage Association is a non-profit membership organization incorporated in 1971. The mission of ISHA is to educate, promote and support organizations and individuals engaged in the celebration of sports heritage. ISHA includes nearly 150 regular members from countries such as China, New Zealand, England, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Canada, and the United States. In addition, corporations and individuals participate in and contribute to the growth of ISHA as Associate Members. For more information about ISHA, visit SportsHeritage.org.
