The World of Little League® Museum continues to tell the stories of the organization’s past and celebrate what is ahead with two new exhibits – the Richard “Hank” Bauer Jr. Photo Exhibit and The Dugout Theater, Presented by Easton Foundations – along with some additional improvements throughout the facility to further enhance the visitor experience.
Check out some of the new features below and book your next visit to the Museum by visiting LittleLeagueMuseum.org.
Richard “Hank” Bauer Jr. Photo Exhibit

Since 1999, Little Leaguers®, their families, and volunteers from around the world have shared their favorite moments and memories through submissions to the annual Little League Photo Contest, with the top photos being selected for display in the museum. Now, the selected photos from the contest will be brought to life in a brand new way, being featured in a new digital, interactive experience.
Throughout the hall’s exhibit along the walls, digital frames have replaced the original panels, creating a more dynamic experience that showcases the amazing photos submitted over the years. At the start of the exhibit, visitors will find the first digital frame featuring a photo of Bauer Jr., a Newville (Pa.) Little League graduate who hit a game-winning home run in the 1952 Pennsylvania State Tournament at the Original Little League Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Before he passed, Bauer Jr. spoke very fondly of his Little League experience.
In addition to learning more about Bauer Jr., visitors can interact with the digital frame to search photos featured within the exhibit by year, discover each photo’s back story, and learn how the photo highlights one of Little League’s five core values – fun, community, teamwork, inclusion, and integrity.
The Dugout Theater, Presented by Easton Foundations

As visitors make their way to the end of their museum tour, one of the final stops is having a seat for a short film in The Dugout Theater, Presented by Easton Foundations. Before heading inside, visitors can learn more about Dugout, the official mascot of Little League Baseball and Softball, and pose for a photo with one of the many historical versions of Dugout – including the first time the mascot made an appearance at Lamade Stadium – featured in the mural.
After taking a few memorable photos, visitors can head around the corner for a seat in the dugout and take in the sights and sounds of a brand-new film showcasing recent, exciting updates to the Little League Baseball World Series (LLBWS) while highlighting why the international tournament is the premier event each summer. The new film also highlights the Little League Softball® World Series (LLSWS) hosted in Greenville, North Carolina.
New Murals
In addition to the new exhibits, a variety of new murals have also been updated, including a mural spotlighting Maria Pepe, who helped spearhead a movement in the 1970s that would lead to girls’ participation in the Little League Baseball® program. The mural features photos of Pepe and the female participants of the first “Maria Pepe Little League Baseball Legacy Series: A Girls with Game Experience” held in 2024, an event that brings 96 female baseball players to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for a weekend of competitive games on Howard J. Lamade and Volunteer Stadiums.
Celebrating what is ahead, the museum also features a mural focused on Little League’s core value, inclusion, and a second mural displaying the organization’s Philanthropy and Social Impact goals, including bringing additional resources and support to its more than 6,500 local leagues around the world.
Finally, as visitors make their way out of the museum and head down to check out the stadiums, they will be greeted with a set of new flags in the iconic flag plaza, featuring the colors of each of the 20 participating regions for the upcoming Little League Baseball World Series that will be swapped out for the respective country/state flags each summer.
The museum is open Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for anyone who would like to see the new exhibits, murals, and artifacts on display.
