The rosters for the 2022 USA Baseball Women’s National Team were announced this week, with seven former Little Leaguers® earning the right to represent the stars and stripes in international play.
Nearly one-third of the Women’s National Team roster are Little League® alumnae that will make their 2022 debut for the red, white, and blue in a friendly series against Canada from July 28-August 1.
Check out the list below to see where these Girls with Game got their start on Little League fields across the country.

Janelle Calvet | Deerfield Beach (Fla.) LL |

In addition to those selected, another Little League standout in Natalie Diaz of Southside American Little League (Syracuse, N.Y.) was invited to the 2022 Women’s National Team Training Camp. As a Little Leaguer, Natalie sealed herself a spot in the record books with a 19-strikeout game, allowing one runner to reach base on an uncaught third strike before ending the game. Today, years after she came out for the grand reopening of the World of Little League® Museum in 2013, Natalie’s jersey remains on display within the iconic destination stop.
Little League’s Girls with Game Initiative celebrates girls and women like those listed above that have broken down barriers and paved a way for future female Little Leaguers. You can also join in the #SummerOfSoftball festivities with Little League and Athletes Unlimited as we celebrate Girls with Game through baseball and softball coverage on the ESPN Family of Networks all summer long.
