Rusty McCarty Joins Little League® Team as Facilities Technician

Little League® International has announced Rusty McCarty as its new Facilities Technician, effective February 24, 2025.

“We are very excited to have Rusty joining our team,” said John Swisher, Little League Director of Facilities. “Rusty’s previous experience as a groundskeeper and his ability to quickly learn new systems will make him a valuable asset to the facilities department in the day-to-day work and during the tournament season in August.”

In his role, McCarty will be responsible for general maintenance, welding, mechanical small engine repairs, construction projects, and repairs to facilities and grounds. McCarty will also maintain both the interior and exterior of all buildings and grounds at the Little League International headquarters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in all seasons which includes painting, floor care, mowing, trimming, clean-up, and all other functions associated with maintenance.

“To be given this opportunity means a lot to me,” said McCarty. “It is a chance for growth, development, and a chance to work with an amazing team and organization.”

Before joining the Little League team, McCarty worked most recently for STEP, Inc. in Williamsport as a Maintenance Groundskeeper where he worked at multiple facilities completing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance, as well as general construction needs.
