The World of Little League® Museum has unveiled a brand-new Girls with Game® exhibit in coordination of the organization’s Girls with Game 50 Celebration, Supported by DICK’S Sporting Goods, bringing the year-long campaign to life while celebrating the pioneers who have helped pave the way for generations of young girls over the past 50 years.
“Since our Girls with Game initiative launched in 2019, we have been looking for ways to bring the excitement around that movement to life within our museum and knew there was no better time to do that than during the Girls with Game 50 Celebration in 2024,” said Adam Thompson, Director of the World of Little League Museum. “We hope the newly updated section of our museum will serve as an inspiration to the next generation of Girls with Game who visit us throughout the year and help us to continue to document those champions who continue to bring the initiative to life now and in the future.”
The new exhibit, which can be found leading into the World Series section of the museum, features a large-scale wall mural featuring some of the inspiring Girls with Game who have made it to compete in the Little League Baseball® World Series, a photo wall with an inspirational phrase for visitors to capture memories in front of, top photos from the #GWG50 Photo Contest, as well as an exhibit case that will feature a rotation of artifacts in celebration of the history of girls in the Little League® program.
The museum is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be open throughout the Fourth of July holiday.
