Little League® International honors the memory of Ron Wagner, former Pennsylvania District 12 Administrator and longtime Little League Baseball® World Series Team Host. He was 90.
Mr. Wagner, a native of Nescopeck, Pennsylvania, and graduate of Bloomsburg (Pennsylvania) High School attended Bloomsburg State Teachers College before enlisting in the United States Navy. After four years of service, Mr. Wagner was honorably discharged in 1954, and soon after began his professional career in data processing with Shop Vac in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Beginning his service to the Little League program as a local league coach, Mr. Wagner was elected as Pennsylvania District 12 Administrator in 1993 and served in that capacity until 1998. Following retirement, he often returned from his home in Florida, to volunteer as a team host for the annual Little League Baseball World Series played in Williamsport.
Mr. Wagner is survived by sons, Doug and Gerald; grandsons, Blake and Drew; granddaughters, Maggie and Liza; sister, Marilyn; and four nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis; son, Ronald, and parents, Pierce and Lois.
