Continuing its expanding efforts in marketing, communications, and digital media, Little League International has recently added five new members to its Marketing and Communications staff in South Williamsport, Pa. Embracing a variety of roles and responsibilities, these new team members play an integral role in connecting with Little League parents, volunteers, players, and fans to provide important resources to ensure millions of children have a meaningful Little League experience in communities around the world.
“As Little League continues to pursue new, exciting opportunities to interact with all of our various constituents, we are thrilled to add so many talented professionals in some new and existing roles to our team,” said Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “These new addition bring a diverse set of skills and experience to Little League, and we’re excited to work together to support the millions of Little League players, volunteers, families, and fans.”
Joining Little League are:
Kevin Fountain, Director of Media Relations
Mr. Fountain joined Little League in August after serving as the Assistant Director, Athletic Communications for Columbia University. A graduate of Seton Hall University, he also received a Master of Business Administration Degree from St. John’s University. In addition to his time at Columbia, Mr. Fountain has previously held communications positions in the athletic departments at St. Johns University and at Centenary College, as well as well as with the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League. Mr. Fountain will oversee all Little League’s media relations efforts, and serve as the main liaison between Little League International and journalists and other media members and outlets.
Rudy Mezzy, Multimedia Producer/Editor
A newly created position within Little League, Mr. Mezzy’s core responsibilities will be creating and overseeing Little League’s expanding video efforts. A graduate of Temple University, Mr. Mezzy joined Little League in June after serving as a Multimedia Producer with 20/20 Visual Media based in Philadelphia. He also spent a year as a sports anchor, reporter, and news reporter with KOLNKGIN-TV in Grand Island, Neb., where, among other things, he covered Kearney Little League’s 2012 Little League Baseball® World Series run.
Tammy Smith, Digital Media Coordinator
Previously working in a part-time capacity within Little League’s Communications Department, Ms. Smith joined Little League in this newly created full-time position in June. Supporting Little League’s digital media efforts, specifically in the management of Little League’s websites, Ms. Smith previously worked at CRS Advanced Technologies for 10 years. She holds multiple degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Leah Blasko, Communications Coordinator
Ms. Blasko, a graduate of Penn State University, joined the Little League staff in July, where she will be working directly on Little League’s communications and social media efforts. She has held similar positions with the Eastern Conference Hockey League’s Wheeling Nailers and the International Junior Golf Academy and Tour.
Kevin Feinberg, Marketing Coordinator
A recent graduate of Temple University, Mr. Feinberg joined Little League in August in a newly created position within the Little League Marketing Department, where he will work directly with Little League’s national and strategic partners. Prior to joining Little League, Mr. Feinberg held corporate partner internships at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Ariz., during Major League Baseball’s Spring Training in 2016 and with Spectra by Comcast Spectator.
