For the last two months following their memorable run to the 2016 Little League Baseball® World Series Championship title in South Williamsport, Pa., the Maine-Endwell Little League team has been recognized around the country for their achievements both on and off the field, and their congratulatory tour took one more major stop with an honor at Game Four of the 2016 Major League Baseball World Series in Chicago on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Winners of the 2016 Jack Losch Little League Baseball World Series Team Sportsmanship Award, the LLBWS champions have toured around the nation with stops that include the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, multiple Major League Baseball stadiums, the New York State Fair, and now recognition at the 2016 World Series.
The honor came as part of Major League Baseball’s celebration of youth sports, recognizing some of the prominent youth baseball programs from around the nation prior to the game between the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs.
