Little League® International has announced the elevation of Lauren Rude from Communications Coordinator to Content Manager, effective February 22, 2025.
“Since joining our team nearly two years ago, Lauren has helped bring our content and storytelling efforts to life in a fun and modern style while representing the organization and brand in a professional manner every step of the way,” said Kevin Fountain, Little League Senior Director of Communications. “As we continue to take the Little League program to the next level and showcase the countless number of stories that happen across our local leagues all around the world each year, we look forward to Lauren’s leadership in this new role and congratulate her on the well-deserved elevation.”
In her new role, Rude will lead the content creation and storytelling efforts for both internal and external audiences, from interviews and storytelling around notable alumni and local leagues to creating resources and newsletters to support the volunteers who bring the Little League story to life every day. Along with developing and maintaining the content calendar throughout the year, Rude will also continue to assist with local league media relations, volunteer recognition programs, public relations efforts, media outreach, and will provide media relations support and on-site communications efforts during the Little League Baseball® World Series.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue Little League’s efforts in sharing the stories of current Little Leaguers and volunteers, as well as the stories of those who have graduated from the program and continue to excel in their profession and community today,” said Rude. “I am excited to work with our amazing team to grow Little League’s presence in the media landscape while also focusing on what we do best — giving youth athletes across the world a fun, safe place to play the game they love.”
Originally from the Williamsport area, Rude joined the Little League team as Communications Coordinator in June 2023, providing support in content creation, alumni relations and research, metric and analytic tracking of content distribution and organizational reach, local league support and customer service efforts, and more.
Rude graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021 with a B.A. in Public and Professional Writing and English Writing, along with a certificate in Digital Media. After graduation, Rude worked for Nexstar Media, Inc., in Harrisburg where she served as a Digital Content Producer for abc27 before being named an on-air news producer in August 2022. In addition to her experience working in TV news, Rude also spent time as an editorial intern for Pittsburgh Magazine as well as time writing for the Williamsport Sun-Gazette.
