LATIN AMERICA WINS BIG LEAGUE BASEBALL WORLD SERIES, DEFEATS WEST 3-1

Carlos Texidor went 2-3, helping Latin America to a 3-1 victory over West on Tuesday at Field one.

He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Nelson Malave’s six strikeouts helped Latin America to the victory. Malave allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk over six innings.

Bailey Holbrook was charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

Latin America closer Luis Santiago put away the final three outs to record the save.

Latin America never trailed after scoring one run in the first on a fielder’s choice.

Latin America matched its one-run second inning with one more in the fifth. In the second, Latin America scored on an RBI single by Ricardo Natal, bringing home Steven Ruiz.
