Little League® International is pleased to announce the addition of Joe Sassano as its new Senior Executive, Information Technology, effective as of August 5, 2024.

Keener, Little League President and CEO. “Joe grew up in the Williamsport area and is very knowledgeable about the importance and impact of the Little League program. That, combined with his professional experience over the past 30 years, makes him a great fit to lead our IT department and strengthen our entire Little League team.”
Mr. Sassano joins the Little League team after most recently serving as the Executive Director of Information Technology Services and Chief Information Officer for York County (Pa.) Government since 2013. Additionally, Mr. Sassano has served as the Chief Information Officer for the Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund (PEBTF), a System and Technology Analyst at the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania, as well as a Systems Analyst for the Administrative Offices of the Pennsylvania Courts.
“I am honored to be able to join the Little League team starting this summer and lead the organization’s IT department,” said Mr. Sassano. “Little League and its Information Technology team play such an impactful role in supporting youth sports worldwide and together will continue to be able to innovate and enhance technology solutions for the organization’s global community.”
In this role, Mr. Sassano will provide strategic leadership and vision across the technical spectrum to bring innovative solutions and enable growth strategies within the Little League organization. The role will lead the technology department, ensuring that the organization’s infrastructure, applications, and security are aligned with the business strategy, drives innovation to solve complex business challenges, and meets the expectations of internal stakeholders, partners, and constituents.
A native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Mr. Sassano graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science from Bloomsburg University and received a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from Penn State University. Additionally, he has served on the York County Broadband Task Force, multiple committees within the County Commissioner Association of Pennsylvania, a Board member for the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU), and currently chairs the PSECU Enterprise Risk Management committee, and has served as an adjunct facility member for both Penn State University Capital College and Harrisburg Area Community College.
