Little League® International has officially announced the hiring of Jessie Lahr as the Administrative Assistant for the Risk Management Department.
“We are honored to welcome Jessie to our team here in Williamsport and are looking forward to her support in providing our local leagues all around the world with a meaningful and memorable experience,” said Karl Eckweiler, Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. “Jessie’s background as a Youth Outreach Coordinator, combined with her dedicated work ethic and previous experience, will help us to continue to provide our local leagues with the resources and tools necessary to operate effectively and efficiently.”
Prior to joining Little League International, Ms. Lahr served as an Assistant General Manager and Event Coordinator for The Liberty Arena in Williamsport, Pa., as well as a freelance writer and editor. In addition to her time in Williamsport, Ms. Lahr served as an Office Coordinator for the Bucknell Office of Civic Engagement and as a Youth Outreach Coordinator for CORE Susquehanna AmeriCorps in Lewisburg, Pa., where she coordinated after-school programs for low-income children and provided ESL support in two school districts.
“It is truly an honor to be hired by this great organization and to have the opportunity to help local leagues and volunteers from all over the world,” said Ms. Lahr. “Throughout my entire career, I have been dedicated to helping provide opportunities and memories to the youth of our world, and what better way to do that than to work for the world’s largest youth organization.”
In 2011, Ms. Lahr graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and currently resides in Duboistown, Pa.
