Little League® International has announced Drew Cognac as its new Marketing Account Executive at the Little League International Headquarters in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, effective as of September 25, 2023. Mr. Cognac most recently served as the organization’s Summer Sponsorship and Marketing Intern, concluding his internship experience with the 2023 Little League Baseball® World Series, Presented by T-Mobile, in August.
“Drew’s performance over the past three months as part of our internship program exemplified the hard work and professionalism needed to excel in this industry, and we are proud to welcome him onto our team as our newest Account Executive,” said Kevin Feinberg, Little League Director of Partnership Marketing. “In addition to the unique learnings he received this summer as an intern in our organization, Drew’s background and experience working in the baseball industry provides him with a first-hand knowledge that will help bring our team and the entire Little League organization to the next level.”
During his time as an intern with the Little League program, Mr. Cognac played an important role in all sponsor activations, including adidas uniform and Easton equipment distribution, along with the onboarding of Little League’s newest partner, AIG’s Travel Guard. In his new role as Account Executive, Mr. Cognac will report to Michael Jacobs, Little League Marketing Account Manager, and continue to assist with the day-to-day management and operation of Little League’s official sponsors and other marketing functions for the organization, which includes the recent extension of Little League’s joint partnership and promotional agreement with Major League Baseball.
“Being a part of the Little League team as an intern this summer was a tremendous experience, and it is an honor to be able to transition directly into a full-time position within the organization,” said Mr. Cognac. “I look forward to continuing to work alongside the entire Little League team and its official partners to provide a fun and memorable experience to Little Leaguers at every level of the program, all around the world.”
Prior to joining the Little League team as an intern, Mr. Cognac spent the summer of 2022 as a Tournament Operations Intern for The Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where he assisted in daily tournament operations and provided customer service to all participants and guests. Mr. Cognac also spent a summer as a member of the Grounds Crew for the Columbia Fireflies in 2021as well as a volunteer for multiple food banks and Turning Point N.C., a battered women’s shelter in North Carolina.
Mr. Cognac graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Entertainment Management in August 2023 after spending his first two years majoring in Sport Management at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina.
