Dear [Parents of] Girls with Game,
From the moment our daughters enter this world, we make a silent vow to protect them, to nurture them, and guide them. We dream of helping them grow into kind, confident, and courageous young women who will boldly shape and change the world. Our greatest hope is to see them become brave, bold change-makers, empowered to make a difference in whatever path they choose.
We sing to them softly, rock them gently to sleep, and hold them close, keeping them safe in our arms. In those moments, they are our whole world, and we would move mountains to see them happy and fulfilled.
As your daughter grows, you encourage her to be kind and compassionate, but also to stand tall, be bold, and never hesitate to stand up for herself. You guide her to embrace her uniqueness and to pursue her passions without fear. We teach them that girls can be anything and do anything. Along the way, you hope that mentors, teachers, and coaches will join you in this mission, helping to instill in her the confidence to embrace her greatness and to never shrink in the face of adversity.
Moms, dads, and loved ones of these amazing girls, we know this journey isn’t easy. Watching your daughter on the field, court, or ice, you experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows—your heart swells with pride in her victories and aches in her defeats. Yet, through it all, you never let it show. Instead, you remain her constant companion, her coach, her mentor, her guide, her sounding board, and above all, her loving parent.
To the parents of our Girls with Game: we see you, and we thank you. Without your unwavering support, many of these girls wouldn’t have the desire to compete, to excel, and to shine as brightly as they do. Your belief in their potential, your encouragement through the tough times, and your presence at every game and practice make all the difference.
THANK YOU for being their biggest champions, for standing beside them as they grow into the strong, capable women we know they can be. Together, we are raising the next generation of leaders, athletes, and change-makers, and that is something truly extraordinary.
With gratitude from a mom ready to get her own girl into the game,
Delvina Morrow, Little League Vice President of Philanthropy and Social Impact
