Adam Thompson, the Director of the World of Little League® Museum, has officially been elected as the Secretary for the International Sports Heritage Association (ISHA) Board of Directors. The election came during the 2022 ISHA Conference, hosted by the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
“It is an honor to be recognized by this incredible association and all my peers, and I look forward to serving as the Secretary of the board,” said Mr. Thompson. “The World of Little League Museum has been a proud member of ISHA for many years, and I am excited to be able to work with the board and the entire ISHA membership to help find ways to provide the best experience to museum visitors all across the nation.”
Named the Director of the World of Little League® Museum as of January 1, 2022, Mr. Thompson currently leads the Museum’s overall strategic efforts, develops new initiatives and strategies to increase visitors, finds new ways to educate children both in person and virtually, works with the retail team to help operate the Museum’s Official Store, while also continuing his role as the Museum’s curator. Mr. Thompson joined the Little League staff in 1999 and has been responsible for the strategic layout and development of the Museum’s exhibits and artifacts, curation of new items to display, historical research through the Museum’s archives, operation of both individual and group tours, and more.
The International Sports Heritage Association is a non-profit membership organization incorporated in 1971. The mission of ISHA is to educate, promote and support organizations and individuals engaged in the celebration of sports heritage. ISHA includes nearly 150 regular members from countries such as China, New Zealand, England, Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Canada, and the United States. In addition, corporations and individuals participate in and contribute to the growth of ISHA as Associate Members.
In addition to his role as Secretary, Mr. Thompson also serves on the Founders Fund Committee and the Member Relations Committee of the ISHA Board of Directors.
