Little League® International has announced the promotion of Aaron Weber from League Development Assistant to East Region Director effective as of February 21, 2022.
“It is my pleasure to announce Aaron as the new East Region Director, and I am looking forward to working alongside him to provide the best support to all the volunteers and players throughout the East Region,” said Corey M. Wright, Little League East and Central Region Operations Managing Director. “During his last five years working at Little League International, Aaron has continued to find new ways to support our volunteers, broaden the overall interest and awareness of the Little League program, and help provide the best possible Little League experience to our volunteers, families, and most importantly, players.”
In his new role, Mr. Weber will oversee the day-to-day operations of the more than 2,000 local leagues across the 11 states within the East Region while providing ongoing support and guidance to all its volunteers at both the district and local league level, based out of the Bristol, Connecticut, office. Working alongside Mr. Wright and the League Development staff at Little League International, Mr. Weber will also work to find additional opportunities at those leagues already affiliated within the region, develop relationships to bring in new programs to the Little League organization, and globally work to enhance the overall player experience at every level.
“It is an honor to be named the East Region Director for Little League International and to have the opportunity to continue to serve and support all of our local leagues and volunteers,” said Mr. Weber. “The Little League program has been an important piece of my life since my childhood, and I am looking forward to working with our staff, volunteers, and everyone throughout the East Region to provide that memorable experience to more and more children each year. I am thankful to everyone who has supported and mentored me throughout my time at Little League and am excited for this great new opportunity as East Region Director.”
A native of the Williamsport area, Mr. Weber has served as the League Development Assistant at the Little League International Headquarters since September 2017. During his time at Little League, he has worked hard to identify and develop new leagues across the United States to affiliate with the Little League program, provide customer service to current and perspective volunteers, work with District Administrators and their staff to provide an enhanced experience within their leagues, and assist with increasing the global awareness of the Little League organization as a whole.
A 2017 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies Education, Mr. Weber has previously served as a Constituent Services Intern for Congressman Tom Marino, an Assistant Grounds Keeper for the Williamsport Crosscutters, and even spent a summer working as a coach for the Little League Baseball Summer Camp.
