The Little League International In-Person Umpire Mechanics Clinic will be conducted outside using the fields at the home of the Little League Baseball World Series. If impacted by inclement weather, all field instruction and plate work will be conducted indoors using the new Little League batting cages.
The cost of the clinic is $135 per student. Enrollment will be limited to 40 umpire students. Must be at least 18 years old to attend. The clinic fee pays for, three meals on Saturday and one meal on Sunday, and lodging on-site in the Creighton J. Hale International Grove where the players stay during the World Series each summer.
This clinic emphasizes training on both plate and base mechanics in the two-umpire system. Each student attending the clinic will need to provide their own equipment including an umpire hat, indicator for balls and strikes, baseball glove, mask, and complete plate gear (if they have it).
Due to the on-going pandemic, it is imperative that you understand the following: “Little League reserves the right to implement mitigation efforts at tournaments that may include, but not limited to, masking, testing, and vaccination requirements.”
Along with Little League’s in-person clinics and free webinars, members of the Little League Umpire Registry also receive free access to the most current editions of the Rules Instruction Manual and Clinic Instruction. We strongly encourage any Little League umpire to complete the Umpire Registry’s online registration and enlist other Little League umpires to refine their craft by becoming fellow Umpire Registry members.
