District Administrators may call the AAA North Penn toll-free number, 1-800-377-4222, or 570-323-8431 to make flight reservations. District Administrator plane tickets will be issued by AAA with the ticket cost direct billed to Little League International. District Administrators may purchase additional plane tickets for guests through AAA, but will need to provide AAA a credit card for the cost of the additional tickets. Little League will not reimburse baggage fees assessed by the airlines.
Delegates flying to the Congress, but not booking through AAA of North Penn will be reimbursed an amount not to exceed the equivalent of the most economical airfare, from the closest major airport, available as of April1, 2022. Delegates will need to submit an airfare receipt to Pam Wright for their airline expense to receive the reimbursement.
For those of you who are flying to Pennsylvania for the Congress, we know that air transportation into Williamsport is difficult, and that rental cars are increasingly difficult to find. Little League International is organizing shuttles to Williamsport from three nearby airports for attendees registered through the Data Center and their guests:
- Harrisburg International Airport (FAA Code: MDT)
- University Park Airport – State College (FAA Code: SCE)
- Wilkes Barre-Scranton International Airport (FAA Code: AVP)
More detailed information on the shuttle service for attendees registered through the Data Center and their guests will be shared in the near future. Additional shuttle services will be available in Williamsport to transport attendees from hotels to Congress events.
Delegates driving to the Congress will be reimbursed an amount not to exceed the equivalent of the most economical airfare, from the closest major airport, available as of April 1, 2022. District Administrators driving to the Congress will not need to submit a mileage expense request to receive reimbursement.
