Each local Little League in the United States is unique to its community or neighborhood, but operating a safe and healthy program is a constant, common goal. To help guide local programs, A Safety Awareness Program (ASAP) includes 15 requirements that were developed to encourage responsible best practices in support of a rewarding, and safer, Little League experience. A safety plan must include 15 basic requirements before it will be approved by Little League International. Leagues are encouraged to go beyond the 15 requirements and continue to enhance their safety plan based on their individual needs and objectives.
League must have an active safety officer on file with Little League International.
- Update league officers in the Little League Data Center.
- List safety officer contact information in safety manual.
