GWG50 Volunteer Spotlight Diamond Leader December 2024

As part of Little League’s Girls with Game 50 (#GWG50) Celebration, honoring the young girls and women who have made the program what it is today, nine female volunteers were recognized as Diamond Leaders of the Month throughout the year. Based on their completion of the Diamond Leader training and the learnings they carried into their local league, each volunteer was spotlighted in Little League’s “The Coach’s Box” electronic newsletter and across the organization’s social media platforms.

With the 2024 season officially coming to a close, it is important to reflect on what an amazing year this has been. A year filled with reflection of our organization’s history, celebration of where we are today, and an excitement for what is yet to come.

As we round out our Girls with Game 50 Celebration, we are reminded how far we have come as an organization and of the pioneers who helped pave the way for generations of young girls to have the opportunity to write their chapter in the Little League story. We’ve learned of the inspirational stories and advice passed on by generations of Girls with Game and saw first-hand the impact our program has on families and communities all around the world.

Rule and Regulation Updates for 2025 Little League® Season Announced

In addition to the updates to both the Little League® Child Protection Program and Regulation II that were announced earlier this year, the official updates to Little League’s Official Regulations, Playing Rules, and Operating Policies for the 2025 season have been announced. These changes were reviewed by the Rules Committee and Tournament Committee.

As the 2024 season officially comes to a close, and we wrap up our Girls with Game 50 (#GWG50) Celebration, it’s time to reflect back and look at some of the amazing memories we experienced this year.

For 50 years, we’ve raised up the courageous women who came before us. The ones who spoke out and carried the team on their backs. The ones who dug deeper, pushed harder – even when it felt like the bases were pulled farther and farther away from them. But it isn’t enough to just raise our heroes up. We have to be them.
