Little League® International is pleased to announce Ashley Deitrick as its new Safety and Security Coordinator, effective as of April 2, 2024.
“We are excited to welcome Ashley onto our team and look forward to her support as our new Safety and Security Coordinator,” said Sherman Shadle, Little League Director of Security. “Ashley’s contributions will play an important role in the security efforts of our organization and the overall experience of all those who attend our complex each year for the World Series.”
Ms. Deitrick joins the Little League team after previously working as a telecommunicator for the Lycoming County 9-1-1 Center. Additionally, Ms. Deitrick has experience working for Tufts University as a public safety dispatcher and a public safety administrative services representative.
“I am honored and excited to be joining such an amazing organization,” said Ms. Deitrick. “This position presents an opportunity to serve the entire Little League community and contribute my skills and knowledge to ensure the safety of all those who participate. I am motivated by the challenge of taking on new responsibilities and utilizing my experience to make an impact here at Little League.”
In this role, Ms. Deitrick will help maintain security equipment and operations to help ensure the safety and security of personnel and facilities. Additionally, she will also help manage the Child Protection Program and A Safety Awareness Program (ASAP) and assist with maintaining and printing all badges and credentials for the Little League World Series and other events.
Ms. Deitrick graduated from Lycoming College with a bachelor’s degree in history and archaeology in 2009 and a master’s in classical archaeology from Tufts University in 2013.
