May a local Little League program, chartered for the current season, organize, and host a meeting whereby league officials and coaches are required to attend for the purpose of completing abuse awareness training? What is suggested for those volunteers required to attend abuse awareness training, but unable to attend the meeting?

As most leagues and/or districts offer annual trainings for First Aid/CPR/AED and Baseball/Softball skills/fundamentals as part of their ASAP program for their league volunteers, it would be acceptable for each volunteer to complete the required Little League Abuse Awareness Training in this group setting as long as each volunteer completes their own required training.

Leagues can also require their volunteers unable to complete the group training to do so individually and provide their certificate upon completion and before assuming any volunteer role for the current season.
