Rounding out the group of 10 International Region teams making the trip to Williamsport, and representing Canada in the 2023 Little League Baseball® World Series, Presented by T-Mobile, is North Regina (Saskatchewan) Little League after beating the representative from Vancouver, British Columbia, 4-3.
Despite losing their first three games of the Region tournament in Regina, Saskatchewan, the Host team finished the tournament with five-straight wins, outscoring their opponents 36 to 23.
This will be the 63rd time Canada has sent a team to Williamsport for the LLBWS, and the second appearance for North Regina LL after making the trip in 2002, which was the only other appearance of a team from Saskatchewan in Williamsport. This year’s team will try and bring home the country’s first title since 1965.
With the first-round of matchups of the 2023 LLBWS announced at the beginning of June, North Regina LL will face off against Keui-Shan Little League (Taoyuan, Chinese Taipei) in Game 7 of the LLBWS on Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. ET at Volunteer Stadium.
