Southeast Region Tournament Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you are a new or returning volunteer, each individual must submit a volunteer application and undergo a background check conducted by Little League prior to assuming any volunteer duty. Additionally, each volunteer must annually complete the Abuse Awareness training. These are required for all volunteers and is an annual requirement.

We recommend submitting the application no later than July 10 to ensure there is proper time to conduct the check and you can select shifts.

Yes, regardless of years of service, an individual wishing to volunteer must submit the volunteer application, undergo a background check conducted by Little League and complete the Abuse Awareness course.

Little League® requires ALL individuals who provide regular service to and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams to submit a volunteer application and undergo an annual background check prior to assuming any duties. All volunteers for our tournaments qualify under this regulation.

Any person whose background check reveals a conviction, guilty plea, no contest plea, or admission to any crime involving or against a minor or minors, is prohibited from participating as a volunteer with Little League®.

No specific deadline is in place, but we recommend submitting the volunteer application no later than July 5.

To volunteer in any and all areas, you must be 18-years-old. Those younger can still volunteer, but will be restricted from various duties, such as operating food service machines, operating vehicles, press box duties and more.

We provide each volunteer with a volunteer t-shirt, photo ID badge, lanyard, and other items. Volunteers are also eligible for meal vouchers based on the time worked during a day.

Volunteers need to wear either their provided volunteer shirt from the current year or previous years or a Little League shirt. Additionally, shorts of any color or style may be worn, provided they are not ragged, torn or frayed. Closed-toed shoes (such as sneakers) must be worn in the Concession Stand, Team Meals and Grounds Crew areas. The provided badge MUST always be worn.

We welcome volunteers from across the globe! We regularly have volunteers from multiple states and at times from outside the United States. If you are looking to travel in and are looking for a hotel, there are no negotiated rates or hotels. However, many Warner Robins hotels may offer a reduced rate if you call and mention you will be in town for a Little League event.
