Little League® International mourns the passing of Reuben B. Hill, former Florida District 7 Administrator and a past member of the Little League International Board of Directors. He was 87.
Mr. Hill, a resident of Palm Beach, Florida, was employed by the Pratt and Whitney Aerospace Company for 38 years.
Highlighting his volunteer service to the Little League program, Mr. Hill was the Assistant Director of the Senior Baseball World Series when it was played in Kissimmee, Florida; and contributed to several Little League International Congress Rules Committees.
He was Florida District 7 Administrator for nearly 20 years (1970-to-1989). During that time, he represented the Southern Region on the Little League International Board of Directors (1984-to-1986). In 1989, Mr. Hill was recognized with presentation of the Peter J. McGovern Distinguished Service Award.
Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elaine; and sons, Bruce, Brian, Bennett, and Brett; daughter, Mary; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
