2019-20 Year In Review
October 1, 2019 - September 30, 2020
Letter from the Chairman
Reflecting on 2020 is a bit like looking into a broken mirror.
Thinking back to the end of 2019, we were embarking on one of the most exciting moments in the history of the Little League® program. We had just announced the expansion of the Little League Baseball and Softball World Series. We launched a strategic plan to evolve our program to better serve the ever-changing communities and families that are the heart of Little League. We had great momentum with celebrating female involvement through our Girls with Game program.
One Team. One Little League.
Amidst the challenges we have all faced this year, the launch of the look, logo, and mission of the Little League program that focuses around One Team. One Little League. has never been more important as we all write the next chapter in our epic story.
Here, We All Rally
This past March, we were all disappointed as we had to pause the Little League season, as well as much of our normal lives, but, as we navigate through this Coronavirus pandemic we have also been able to come together and rally as One Team. One Little League. Despite the unprecedented suspension of play and cancellation of the Little League World Series and Region Tournaments, this past fiscal year has also brought a number of exciting news and announcements as we look ahead to the future.
These Are the Stories You Remember
While many of us were unable to get out on the baseball and softball field this year, we all had a great opportunity to help tell, share, and relive the stories that go down in our record books thanks to the help of Little League’s official digital and social media channels.

Making the Story of Little League Your Own
For decades, the girls and women of the Little League program have continued to make the story of Little League their own as they break through barriers and join in the never-ending series. Throughout this past year, Little League continued to celebrate its Girls with Game Initiative with a number of new campaigns, content, partnerships, and more. Here are some of the great Girls with Game moments from the past year.
Team Means Everything Here
Everyone has a position to play in Little League, and it’s on us to make sure everyone feels like the home team. Throughout the entire year, especially during the uncertainty of the pandemic, Little League International remained focused on providing support, guidance, and flexibility to all its volunteers, parents, and players.
We All Share This Series
Even during a difficult year, the support of Little League International’s official partners, sponsors, and supporters was focused on helping local leagues and their communities. Here are some of the initiatives and activations that those partners provided this year.
Born In Williamsport, Grown Around The World
While the Little League Baseball® World Series could not be held in 2020, Little League International remains committed to the home of Little League and wanted to show its support during these unprecedented times as we all look to leave a legacy of time spent together. Here are some of the events and announcements from this past year that supported the Williamsport community.
