Asia-Pacific Representative: Chung-Ping Little League (Taoyuan, Chinese Taipei)

On Sunday, June 7, the Chung-Ping Little League from Taoyuan County, Chinese Taipei won the Asia-Pacific Region Tournament in the Philippines, topping the team from Korea, 11-2, in the championship game. This is the first time that Chung-Ping will compete in the Little League Baseball World Series, and third time that a team from Taoyuan will represent Chinese Taipei in South Williamsport. With 17 Little League Baseball World Series Championships, Chinese Taipei holds the record for the most banners won in the history of the World Series. The last champion from Chinese Taipei was Fu-Hsing Little League from Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei, in 1996.
