On Sunday, June 7, the Musashi Fuchu Little League from Tokyo, Japan won the Japan Region Tournament in their home city, topping Miyagino Little League from Sendai City, 11-6, in the championship game. This is the third time that Musashi Fuchu Little League will send their Little Leaguers® to the Little League Baseball World Series. Their first appearance was in 2000, where they advanced to the International Bracket championship game, losing to the eventual Little League Baseball World Series Champions from Venezuela.
