Scorekeeping Rules Updated With Pitch
Count Info
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Dec. 4, 2006) – The rules for scorekeeping in
baseball have not changed much since the first system was invented
more than 100 years ago.

But an addition to the scorekeeping rules for the baseball divisions
of Little League can be found in the 2007 “What’s the Score?”
publication. This is a must for every league in any year, but will
be particularly important in 2007 as the new pitch count rules are
put into effect for all baseball divisions.
Each league receives one free copy of “What’s the Score?” upon
chartering. Extra copies are available for purchase from Little
League International.
The new scorekeeping rule can be found here:

Extensive information on the best ways to implement the new “pitch
count” regulation in baseball will continue to be released from
Little League International. A roundup of the information released
so far can be found at

Keep watching the Little League web site for frequent updates.
