Agenda Set for 24th Little League International Congress
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Feb. 7, 2007) – As required by Little League International bylaws, notice was provided last month to District Administrators worldwide regarding the agenda items for the 24th Little League International Congress, to be held April 13-16, 2007, in Houston, Texas.

The agenda items, along with a cover letter to District Administrators from Stephen D. Keener, Little League International’s president and chief executive officer, are available for downloading at the Little League internet web site here: http://www.littleleague.org/media/CongressAgenda2007.pdf

A printed copy of the agenda items was mailed to all District Administrators worldwide as well.

The Little League International Congress is a way for local Little League volunteers to have a voice in the rules and regulations of Little League Baseball and Softball. Detailed information on the 24th Little League International Congress can be found here: http://www.littleleague.org/about/congress.asp

Each local Little League Board of Directors should consider the measures on the agenda carefully. If the local Little League Board of Directors has not done so already, it should provide its District Administrator with opinions on how he or she should vote on the agenda items at the International Congress.

Only the elected District Administrator, or his/her assigned delegate, is permitted to cast a vote for each district. The District Administrator, or his/her delegate, must be present at the Congress in order to vote. For those agenda items particular to a certain division, a vote can only be cast by the delegate if that division currently exists within at least one league in the district.

Little League International bears most of the cost in sending the district to the International Congress. Assistant District Administrators also may attend the International Congress, at the expense of the district or the individual attending.
